The Norteko Ferrokarrila radio serie
This is a radio series for popularising science; it is a 50-minute programme offering interviews, features, and special sections, and takes any field of science as its subject. It is broadcast once a week on Tuesdays from 21.00 hours onwards on the Euskadi Irratia radio station (the Basque-language radio station of the EiTB–the Basque Autonomous Community’s Radio and TV broadcasting corporation).
The radio programme was started in 1995. It begins every autumn and the broadcasts go on until the last week of June.
It is a series produced and edited by the Elhuyar Foundation. The anchorpeople are the chemists Nagore Rementeria and Guillermo Roa, who are assisted by experts in popularisation from the Elhuyar Foundation’s department for Science Communication; among them are scientists and journalists.
