Awards and recognition
We have received the following awards and recognition in the department for Science Communication:
- 2011: Teknopolis wins first prize in the Asebio/Genoma España Award for the Communication and Popularisation of Biotechnology
- 2009: Johnson & Johnson Popular Science TV Award for best European science popularisation television programme within the Euroscience Media Awards to Teknopolis.
- 2006: El Correo Digital award for best leisure and services website to Zientzia.net.
- 2006: 3rd Tecnalia Award for Journalism: Teknopolis was short-listed.
- 2006: Award of the Department for Innovation of the Provincial Government of Bizkaia to Teknopolis.
- 2005 and 2006 Rikardo Arregi award for journalism: the 'Erraustegiak sutan' dossier published by the Elhuyar Zientzia eta Teknika magazine, and the Elhuyar team of journalists got special mentions.
- 2002: Robotiker award to Teknopolis.
- 2002: Argia Web award to Zientzia.net.
- 1994: Argia Press award to the Elhuyar Zientzia eta Teknika magazine.
