Who we are
Material for Teaching and Leisure Purposes
The aim of the Publishing Department is as follows: to create and/or publish material for teaching and leisure purposes for use at home as well as at school, in a range of mediums, in Basque, and in accordance with our editorial line.
Taking advantage of the latest technology (CD-ROM, on-line, DVD, etc.) we offer materials in Basque for education, leisure and the popularisation of science; nevertheless, we have not abandoned the book, which still has its uses (published on paper as well as in any other medium).
We produce works of our own, works translated from other languages into Basque, and tailor-made ones in line with our customers’ requests.
We produce materials for all age groups; materials based on experience, quality and appeal.

Working Team
The Publishing Department Team is made up of educators, teaching experts, designers and typesetters. At Elhuyar cooperation with other departments –Science Communication and Language Services– is important. These two departments guarantee the reliability of content with respect to Science and Technology, and the Basque language. In addition to the Publishing Department and Elhuyar teams, we have set up a broad-based network of collaborators, advisers and experts to contribute to the quality and ongoing improvement of our publications.
