The Elhuyar Foundation is a not-for-profit organisation.

Elhuyar’s aims are to popularise Science and Technology and to normalise the Basque language, and we who make up the Foundation’s members and staff support these two aims.

The Elhuyar Foundation is keen to be a foundation that is rooted in Basque society, and that is why we want to bring the people, companies and organisations who subscribe to these aims closer to us.

The members (Collaborating Individuals, Collaborating Companies and Institutions) are important agents in the Elhuyar Foundation:

• They promote the Foundation.
• They are a source of views and ideas.
• They co-operate in our projects.
• They are the end users of Elhuyar’s initiatives and activities.

Three members on the Elhuyar Foundation’s Board of Trustees each represent Collaborating Individuals, Collaborating Companies and Institutions.

The yearly Elhuyar Foundation membership fee for Collaborating Individuals is 60 euros (they can claim tax relief in their tax returns).

Members receive the Elhuyar magazine every month and the Elhuyar diary at the start of the year. They are also entitled to a 20% discount on Elhuyar Foundation products.
