Who we are
Awards
The Elhuyar Foundation has won important awards for its work in science popularisation and language normalisation. Over the last few years it has received the following awards:
- 2011: Telenatura award in the best report category for Teknopolis.
- 2011: Teknopolis wins first prize in the Asebio/Genoma España Award for the Communication and Popularisation of Biotechnology
- 2009: Johnson & Johnson Popular Science TV Award for best European science popularisation television programme within the Euroscience Media Awards to Teknopolis.
- 2006: El Correo Digital award for best leisure and services web site to Zientzia.net
- 2006: Teknopolis shortlisted in the Tecnalia III Award for Journalism.
- 2006: Teknopolis wins the Award of the Department for Innovation of the Provincial Council of Bizkaia.
- Rikardo Arregi Award for Journalism of 2005 and 2006: the 'Erraustegiak sutan' (Incinerators on fire) dossier published in the Elhuyar Zientzia eta Teknika magazine and the Elhuyar team of journalists get a special mention.
- 2002: Robotiker award to Teknopolis.
- 2002: Web Argia award for Zientzia.net.
- 2002: Toribio Echevarria award for Eleka.
- 2003, 2002, 2001, 2000, 1999, 1998, 1993 & 1991: Migel Altzo award of the Department of Education, Universities and Research of the Basque Autonomous Community Government.
- 1998, 1997 & 1989: Isaac López-Mendizabal award of the Department of Education, Universities and Research of the Basque Autonomous Community Government.
- 1994: Press Argia Award to the Elhuyar Zientzia eta Teknika magazine.
